Your kids will enjoy baking and making Christmas trees using ice cream cones, a cookie, icing and sweets!

During my preschool teaching days we had weekly “Baking & Making” sessions where we would make all kinds of fun things one could eat afterwards. Needless to say, these sessions were a highlight of the week for the kids!
One of the things we always did near Christmas time, was these Christmas Tree Cones.
Of course, I still do it with my kids during Advent!
Ingredients:
– Ice cream cones
– icing sugar(I use royal icing sugar: whip together 2 egg whites with 1/2 tablespoon of cream of tartar and 1 cup of powdered sugar)
– green coloring
– small sweets(mini marshmallows works best)
– shredded coconut
– another biscuit to stick the cone on
What to do:
First, stick the cone to the biscuit. Then spread icing sugar all over the cone:

Then, decorate the tree by sticking the sweets to the cone. They had to count to ten before let go of the sweet, otherwise it slid off.
And there ya go: Christmas Trees you can eat!

Such fun! And best of all, they could eat their Christmas tree afterwards!
