Today is the last room on the inside of the dollhouse: The Kitchen!

The Kitchen

Have you been following along with this series? And what do you think? I’m in love with this project and can just imagine I would play with my daughter once it is finished! (The goal is by her birthday in June)

So, to carry on, for the kitchen sink and cupboard are made out of a box and chocolate box compartments. The faucet is again a pump of a shampoo bottle. On the box I drew the drawers and cupboards, one could cut them so it actually opens up too.

The sink

The other cupboard is also a box that was paintedĀ  with drawn cupboards and drawers. But here I left a space for the stove to be “built in”.

The stove is also a box, painted black, with a “hinged door” of black corrugated craft board. The “plates” are made of bottle inserts, and the “knobs” are brads.

The stove

The fridge is a silver box. These are all loose items, so L could move them around if she wants to.

Against the walls you’ll see the hook for a kitchen towel, another window from different textured paper, a clock made from craft foam and the shelves are craft sticks glued together.

Some loose items are already added, but we will add more as we play.

Walls in kitchen

If you have missed some posts in the series you can find it here:
Part 1- Floor and walls
Part 2- Dining room
Part 3- Bedrooms
Part 4- The Bathroom
Part 5- The Lounge
