Make a beautiful rainbow Perler bead keyring with your child and work those fine motor skills too!
We have rainbow fever! You too? Today we are joining another great group of bid bloggers with rainbow crafts and activities!
I wanted to do this with my daughter, but my son was more interested. At age 3, he amazed me with his fine motor skills and perseverance!
I set it up like this, giving him the pattern to work with! using the big circle peg board and Rainbow colour Perler beads:
This is a very good activity, not only for fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination but for visual perception too: knowing which color must go where!
PS: The circle pegboard is around 30 years old. I received it as a birthday present with Perler beads before I even went to school!
He loved doing this “big kid” activity with mommy, can you tell?
We took one bead out, that is for the keychain. After he packed out the rainbow, we melted(a tiny bit) it together with the iron. Because the beads are very old, it did not melt as well as the newer type of beads would.
LAstly, add a keychain and keyring and there you have a beautiful rainbow Perler bead keyring!
