Help your kids to make a remote caddy for Daddy as a special gift for Father’s Day or his birthday!
And you won’t believe what was used to make this holder: a tissue box!
I chose to use photos as decoration around the box, but one could use drawings of the kids too, or a combination of both!
Here is what to do:
First, cut the box as shown below.
Then, let the kids paint the box, inside and outside.
Cut the photos/drawings to fit onto the box, leaving a tiny bit around it as a frame.
Decoupage the photos onto the box. Basically, stick the photos to the box with Mod podge or diluted glue, and “paint” over the photos with the podge to cover the whole box. I did 3 layers of podge, that way the photos look more “part” of the box and most bubbles are smoothed out.
This is how it looked after the first coat.
After the third coat, note the difference?
There you go, a sweet(and useful) gift for Father’s Day!
Oh, and another idea: Dad can use this for a stationary holder on his desk in the office too!
