So, when you work with 50+ colleagues at a school and with every tea break your mug is missing, you make a plan! I do not have fancy porcelain pens or special Sharpies to mark a mug, so I improvised: using nail polish to make this monogrammed mug!

I have to add, I do not know how long this will last, since I’ve only painted it last weekend. I will not wash it in the dishwasher, since hot water might rinse it off. (UPDATE: still looking good, almost 3 years later!)

Step 1: I used a vinyl letter and glitter nail polish on this white mug.

Step 2: I painted all around the letter with an outward movement before peeling off the letter, carefully.

And this is the result! So pretty! (although the photo does not give the glitter much visibility)

Let’s hope the monogram does the trick: no more missing mugs! I might have to make some for colleagues too!

I love it! I had a “T” cup but the t came off in the dishwasher and I have been wanting another one. maybe I will make a new one instead of buy one.
