Plan a fabulous Hello Kitty party with all these party inspiration ideas to make the day extra special!
My daughter chose the Hello Kitty theme for her 4th birthday party this year! And here it is!
We booked at an indoor kid play venue, Kids Unleashed, this year. Up till now, we held all the parties at home, but since it is winter here now(keeping us indoors), and most kids will be 4 years and older, the house will be just too crowded. It was a bit more expensive, but the clean house afterward was worth the expense!
The venue hire included a three-hour playtime for the kids, the party room with your colour of choice table cloths, chair covers, plates, glasses, party hats, helium balloons, and the name on the table. I requested they supply the cupcakes too(and added the cute Hello Kitty cardboard cakestand) making my job so much easier!
The straws, with bows glued on with a glue gun, went into the recycled glass bottles at the drink station for the parents. The cupcake boxes were also decorated with bows. And of course, Hello Kitty put on her party hat to join the fun!
The partyware I customized with Hello Kitty stickers and black dots to get the polka dot effect. I filled white buckets with party treats and added Hello Kitty stickers to it. Each child got their own picture and initial on all their partyware so that they know which ones are theirs.
For party favors(and part of decoration around the buckets) I made kitty headbands for the girls, with their initials, and bow ties for the boys.
I bought pink headbands and used felt and thread to make the headbands into kitty ones. Oh, and added a bow too, made the same way as the bow ties below.
These bow ties(also from felt) are SO easy to make. I used a glue gun for most of the part, just sew the elastic to the back.
The last touch was the banners. Plain, ready-made ones I added polka dots to, together with Hello Kitty faces, a photo of the birthday girl, her name and the number 4! Polka dot balloons at the side of the banners finished the decorations.
A successful party, I’d say! The kids enjoyed it, it was long enough, not too much work for me, but still pretty!
Happy Sunday! Hope you’re having a FABULOUS weekend–just wanted to swing by and give you a huge “Thank you!” for linking up at Bewitchin Projects last week–and we’ve already got the party started again today, so be sure to come link up again here: http://www.ourminifamily.com/2014/08/bewitchin-projects-block-party-week-5.html
