Recycle and reuse by making a beautiful Easter Cross from egg cartons with your kids. Reflect on the true meaning of Easter!
It is time for Project: Recycle & Create! And this month the challenge is to create with egg cartons!
If you’ve missed the previous month’s challenges, you can see it here:
House on Fire from a Cardboard Box
Ring Toss Game from Cardboard Tubes
Now, this Easter Cross is really so easy to make and great fun too!
How to make an Easte cross from egg cartons:
Adult Step: Use a large egg carton and cut the pieces out for a cross, 4 cups down, 3 across.
Kids: Now paint the cross any color you’d like. We did Purple because purple reminds me of the Kingship of Christ.
Cut a heart out of recycled paper, and attach it to the middle of the cross. Use a Wooden heart too if you’d like. Finish off the cross by attaching a rope or string so it can be hung.
It is now hanging in my daughter’s bedroom above her bed, between the 2 hearts, quite fitting, I’d say;)
A beautiful Easter Cross from egg cartons made by mom and daughter! A lovely reminder of the reason for the season.
What a great idea for an egg carton! It looks easy to do and makes a lovely decoration hanging on the wall!
Thank you Emma!
This is adorable and something I could do with my 4 year old easily. I’d love for you to link up to the 40 Days of Seeking Him meme this week to share as I’m sure there are others looking for easy activities with their preschoolers. Here’s the link for this week if you are interested:
