Get the kids baking and make these special treats for your family’s furry friends. Save it for Christmas, or just spoil them for the sake of it. These recipes are quick, easy and our pets love it. The recipes do not contain pet food, so it is perfectly fine if your toddler “taste it” while making.

Dog Biscuits
Please Note – This recipe contains Peanut Butter, the peanut butter can be substituted with mashed cooked pumpkin.
Ingredients:
- 3/4 cup whole wheat flour
- 1/4 cup flour
- 1/4 cup raw oats
- 1/4 cup cornstarch (maizena)
- 1/2 cup water
- 1 egg
- 2 tablespoons peanut butter or mashed, cooked pumpkin
- 1 tablespoon oil
Method:
Preheat oven to 180C / 350 F. Combine water, oil, egg and peanut butter. Mix properly using an electric mixer. Combine dry ingredients.

Thoroughly mix dry and wet ingredients to form a soft dough. Roll dough out on a floured surface to a thickness of about 3mm. Use any cookie cutter to cut into shapes.
Lightly grease a baking tray or line with wax paper. Because the recipe does not contain a rising agent, you can pack the biscuits close to each other. Bake for 10 minutes, turn over and bake another 10 minutes.

Let the biscuits cool properly before packing them into a container.

To store our dog treats, we simply covered an empty tin with brightly coloured paper and printed a label.

Easy Do-It-Yourself pet treats to make with the kids that your furry friends will love!
The recipes are amazing. I tried the cat recipe for my toothless, and he absolutely loved it. I usually buy treats from online websites like Petcarerx or Petco, but I keep reading that these treats are not always nutritious for pets. Thanks a ton for sharing these recipes for people like me.

In general, all pets should have a complete physical check-up at least once per year. It’s better to always remember about this routine maintenance for your pet friend 🙂
