Glue the pom poms onto the craft stick. Glue the googly eyes in place on the head. Cut two small antennae from your pipe cleaner and press into the head.

Bee – Use a yellow craft stick or paint your plain craft stick yellow. Fold half a yellow pipe cleaner in an 8 figure to form wings. Glue the wings to the craft stick about 1/4 way down. Use the larger pompom for the head and glue in place. Add the eyes and antennae as for the caterpillars. Make the body by using a black/yellow/ black pattern. Cut a tiny piece of pompom for the stinger and glue in place. The craft stick will be slightly longer than the bee. Trim the excess craft stick by using a strong pair of scissors.

Dragonfly – Cut a pink pipe cleaner in half. fold both in the shape of a figure 8 to form two wings. Glue the wings to a pink craft stick about 1/4 way down the stick and a centimetre apart. shape to form ovals. Use small pom poms and arrange in a pattern. Glue the pom poms to the craft stick. Glue eyes on the head.

You can glue the flying creatures to a green wooden skewer and use as a decoration for your potted plants.

These are such cute bug crafts. The pompoms give them nice depth so they can play with them as toys too!
