Make festive sweet treat gifts for family or friends this Christmas!

Making gifts with kids is so fun! (Have you seen this Elfie money tin?) These sweet treat gifts are incredibly easy and fun to make, even at the last minute as it is so quick. We arranged our creatures on a “stage” to add to the festivities.
Container Gifts
You will need:
- Empty plastic containers in different shapes and sizes
- Craft bits and pieces
- Glue
- Sweets
For the Snowman, we used an empty ice-cream cup. Glue a polystyrene ball on the top of the cup, let dry, cover with cotton wool. Add googly eyes, pom poms, a hat and craft sticks for arms. For the Reindeer, poke two holes in the lid, add ribbons, googly eyes and a smiley mouth. Let your child’s imagination go wild in creating other container creatures. Use buttons, pom poms, pipe cleaners, different coloured paper, pipe cleaners, ribbons and string. Once finished, fill your containers with sweet treats.

Sweet Spoons
You will need:
- Plastic spoons
- Chocolate slab
- Smarties, Astros, M&M’s, sprinkles
Break your chocolate into small pieces and melt in the microwave or in a double pot on the stove. Pour melted chocolate into spoons and let the kids add decorations. Leave to cool and let chocolate set completely, tie a ribbon around each spoon. Arrange the spoons on a plate or in a container.

Presentation
You will need:
- Polystyrene base (I used one out of computer packaging and covered the holes with cardboard)
- Large Beads
- Wooden or cardboard stars
- Glue
- Glitter
- Wooden skewers
Thread your beads into wooden skewers and secure the tops and bottoms with a blob of glue if the beads are falling out. Cover the stars with a layer of glue, dip in glitter and let dry. Once dry, glue to the top of wooden skewers.
Paint your platform in the colour of your choice and add some glitter while the paint is still wet. Let dry properly and arrange your stars and festive creatures on the platform.
