Make a family of wooden spoon puppets with your kids! They are great for storytelling and imaginative play too!

These wooden spoon puppets I made as examples for my craft studio students. They created their own wooden spoon families. They had lots of fun making them and playing with them too!

They are great tools to use in a classroom(or at home) for storytelling or imaginative play.

They are very easy to make, all you need is a few wooden spoons and decorative items or you can simply draw on the faces with markers. Let the children use their own creativity to create their wooden spoon family.

I used googly eyes and bling objects for noses and mouths. Some wool for the hair and beard/mustache. Bend some wire to look like glasses for grandma and grandpa. Used ribbon and lace for the females and cut felt ties for the males. I did not bother with clothes, but you can be more creative than me and make clothes for your puppets as well.

These wooden spoon puppets were fun to make, and hopefully, it will last a while for us to play with.
Why not make your own and get the kids involved too!
