Make tissue paper Valentine’s day crafts with your young children to make lovely cards and a Valentines box!
These Tissue paper crafts were rather simple to make, although it took a while because tiny fingers get tired of tearing and squishing! Great fine motor practice though!
We used a piece of contact paper for each heart. I stuck the 3.5-year old’s piece on the whiteboard, to work in a vertical position, just for a change. She was tearing pieces, red, pink and purple.
The 1-year-old’s pieces were on the table, for easy reach. He had to squish the paper and stick it down. He did not like the texture of the tissue paper, but found the sticky surface interesting though! Mom helped him finish the heart.
The heart made with the torn tissue paper we stuck on the red cardboard for a card, adding an ‘I love you’ cut-out.
The heart made with squishy paper was used to decorate a box(at first we were just going to use pink wrapping paper, but then decided painting it will be better). This box will be perfect to put all those V-day gifts in.
