Our superhero turned 3 last week! Naturally, we had to have a superhero, more specifically Superman, party! AND the rain stayed away until later, yay! superhero/man party
I do like the planning part of a party, but to be honest, I was not very inspired with this theme. In the end it turned out cute, though. I like doing most party things myself, keeping the cost low(we’d rather spend money on gifts).

Here is what I did:

For the kids’ table I made a white and black checkered table cloth. Bowls of popcorn and chips were added together with these free printable word bubbles from Meaningful Mama. I used these on sticks on the main table too.

I had to make each friend a cape too! I used material that does not fray, and cut it like I did with these ones. I used iron on embroided logos found at our local Habby shop. Easy peasy!

The party packs were made from plain blue boxes, red and yellow paper cut like shown below. These Superman logos from Printable Treats worked perfectly for the boxes and bottles(together with these).

Oh, and the lollipops were made cute with cape printables!

I was not in the mood for a big cake this time, so I made small cupcakes(red and blue ones). I packed it into a Nr.3, with some star jelly sweet toppers. I added some red and blue sprinkles and Superman figurine. This was not impressive, but more practical for the little ones. cupcakes
At the main table: I made a skyscraper backdrop from black, yellow and blue gift wrap. Stickers as windows made it easy to finish it off.

Some eats included crackers and cheese, watermelon, biltong and droewors(South African delicasy), nuggets and cheese viennas with a dip, cheese pastries and bread rolls.

I wanted to stay with red and blue for the drinks too, so used blue Powerade and raspberry juice. The glass bottles with straws and printable words we’re perfect!

Red, blue and yellow balloons and a big Superman poster greeted the party friends, together with giving them each a cape(as a party favour).

The kids had a blast swimming and playing on the inflatable jumping castle/slippy slide. My boy enjoyed his party tremedously and for the first time realize what the fuss was about?
