Make a space felt busy box to keep your young child busy for hours and to encourage independent play, creativity and story-telling.
I love making busy boxes for my kids and we have quite a collection now that we rotate so they don’t get bored! I have another fun busy box idea for you today! A space-themed busy box!
How to put this box together
Use a lunch box(similar to this one) and line the lid with a piece of black felt.
Then, cut different color circles, representing the planets, some stars, a rocket, an astronaut and even an alien from felt(I did not bother with proper proportions here but you can if you’d prefer).
Use glitter glue to add some details as well if you wish.
And that is it, so easy, but so cute, right?
These felt busy boxes can be used to tell stories or just for imaginative play. It is great for traveling, for quiet time and as a quick independent play activity when you are busy(feeding a baby/making dinner) and need an activity to occupy your child.
Feel free to share this post!
