It is time for the Sensory Bin Challenge! This time we have to play with Dirt, easy! My kids love getting dirty, so they enjoyed this challenge!

We used the patch of garden bed that they always play in, because there is nothing planted there it makes a great impromptu sand pit.

This challenge is child-led, thus without too much of adult intervention, one let them play. I asked my girl(4 years) what she wants to bring to play with. Her first choice was bugs, then the beach toys.

And then(obviously) they needed water to make mud!

And when one has mud, one has to make mud cakes!

We played again when the cousin came to visit:

Great fun!

It didn’t take much to get them interested in playing in the dirt, huh? Mud cakes are always fun!

And you won’t believe when he was younger he disliked the texture of dirt/sand!
