Memo Board from Packaging

This month’s challenge for the Project: Recycle & Create is Styrofoam or Packaging of a similar sort. We had these polystyrene sheets in our storeroom for a while now, and I decided to use them now, a perfect opportunity. So we made Lella her own memo board for her photos, school letters etc.

What we did:
We used painters tape to make a pattern and painted over it with pink paint.

We waited for it to dry and carefully peeled of the tape. The lines were not perfect, but I like it that way.

We glued the 4 pieces onto an old calendar sheet(reusing that too).

Then added the ribbon by securing it to the back with sticky tape. The ribbon that is used to hang it up was also secured that way. The sheets are light, and it is meant for light paper notes or photos so hopefully it will hold.

I added the mini pegs to the ribbon for easy pegging of notes. Thumbnails can also be used. The flower just rounded it off, making it look more pretty, don’t you think?
