Cheering Pom Poms from Plastic bags

Earth day is around the corner, and I’ll be giving you some ideas on how to recycle and reuse!

Did you know that here in South Africa, at most supermarkets you have to pay for a plastic grocery bag! A few years back, this became law, to help reduce the use of plastic bags, encouraging using fabric bags, or reusing your old plastic bags.

There is ways to recycle plastic bags, and here is one idea: cheering pom poms!

It is really easy too!
Step 1- Cut the bags into long strips by folding the bag like in the photo beneath:

Step 2- Gather all the strips together, and tie it in the middle with one piece like this:

Step 3- Attach a handle (I’ve used an old paint brush stick)

Step 4- Shake and have fun!
