Bubble Blowing Painting Apple Garland

I remember doing bubble blowing painting as a child, do you? It is a such a fun way of exploring paint prints! Today we made (light)red and green prints, which we turned into an Apple Garland!

Blowing bubble apple garland
We used:

  • 5 ml food coloring(red and green)
  • 2.5 ml dish washing liquid
  • 100 ml water
  • Straws
  • Plastic cups
  • Paper

materials
The kids loved the blowing part! My 3.5 year old did suck once, but only once, lol! This activity is a great science activity too: your breath together with the soap making bubbles. Blowing bubbles are also great for oral motor skills.  blowing bubbles

Next, the paper was placed on the bubbles and it made these beautiful prints! The red turned out a bit light, but one does get the idea:

After it dried, I cut the print into apple shapes and used some of the green for leaves too. It was added to a string. It makes great decor for Fall time;)

A super fun painting activity, with lots of possibilities: use different colours to play with colour matching too!
